Dear Friends,
In the Name of God, The Compassionate, The Merciful:
The All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) sends our very best wishes to you and your families on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. This is a time for Muslims around the world to reach out to family and friends, colleagues and neighbours, and all our business, interfaith and civic partners, to share the joy and happiness of this month, and to work and pray together for a better life for us all.
We are therefore very pleased to invite you, your family, your congregants, and representatives to join us at our Annual ADAMS National Interfaith Ramadan Iftar (Breaking of Fast & Dinner), co-Sponsored by the ADAMS Interfaith Committee, Government Relations Committee, Ramadan Committee and Community Service Committee.
The event will be Sunday Jul 12, 7pm - 9:45 pm at the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) MAIN CENTER, 46903 Sugarland Road, Sterling, VA
This year’s theme is Religious Freedom in America & Around The World, with Interfaith Leaders, Government Officials & Candidates & Law Enforcement Officials speaking.

As you may know, the Ramadan fast is performed to learn discipline, self-restraint and generosity, while obeying God’s commandments. Fasting is one of the “five pillars” of Islam (along with the declaration of faith, daily prayers, charity, and pilgrimage to Makkah). Because Ramadan is a lunar month, it begins about eleven days earlier each year. The end of Ramadan will be marked by communal prayers called “Eid ul-Fitr,” or the Feast of the Fast-Breaking. Muslims look forward to Ramadan as a period of spiritual reflection, renewal, and community service, and Iftars like this are an essential part of our celebration and our community outreach.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family, or your representatives, to join us on July 12.
PEACE, SHALOM, SALAAM
